A Giant Leap Towards a Healthier Life

Since her life-changing weight-loss surgery in 2022, Tammy Slaton has traveled a remarkable distance. She candidly shared her journey and the significant milestones she has conquered, starting from her near-death experience. After being placed on a ventilator and medically induced coma due to breathing complications, Tammy made the life-altering decision to opt for bariatric surgery, ultimately saving her life.

“I made the wise decision to undergo the operation,” Tammy reflected on the incredible journey she has undertaken. “I strengthened my lungs to the point where I could remove my tracheostomy tube for breathing. Most recently, my doctor gave me the green light to stop using oxygen throughout the day.”

Presently, Tammy relies solely on her BiPap machine and oxygen at night, while keeping a watchful eye on her oxygen levels during the day. Her progress has been truly remarkable, and her words resound with profound gratitude for being alive and for the tremendous strides she continues to make.

“I feel absolutely fantastic! I am grateful to be here, and I am overjoyed by the progress I am making,” shared Tammy with genuine happiness.
