It seems that Prince Harry might be feeling a pang of “homesickness” this Christmas, according to a relationship expert. While there have been reports that Harry and Meghan Markle would love to return to the UK for the holidays and spend Christmas with the Royal Family, they have not yet received an invite. This, coupled with the Duke of Sussex’s search for a British base, could potentially lead to some festive melancholy.

Relationship expert Louella Alderson shared her insight, stating, “It’s possible that Harry may feel a sense of loneliness during the holiday season, especially if he is house-hunting in the UK and has a desire to spend Christmas in the UK this year.” She further added, “Being homesick and missing British traditions and celebrations could make the holiday period more difficult for him.”

But Harry won’t be alone during this time. He will have the support of Meghan, their children, and close friends in America. If the people around Harry are aware of his feelings, they may go the extra mile to make him feel loved and at home in America during the holiday season.

The couple last celebrated a royal Christmas in 2018 at Sandringham before their move to the US. Since then, there have been several tumultuous events involving their relationship with the rest of the family, including interviews, books, and claims of snubbing and pain.

According to a friend of the couple, both Harry and Meghan want to foster a closer relationship with Charles after years of distance. However, no invitations for the holidays have been extended yet.

It was reported that Prince Harry contacted his father on his 75th birthday last week. They had a phone call from California, and Charles also got to see a heartwarming video of Archie and Lilibet singing Happy Birthday. Sources close to the Sussexes described this as a “turning point.”

Earlier this year, Harry and Meghan were asked to leave Frogmore Cottage, their home in Windsor, by Charles. Now, they reportedly need a “formal invitation” to stay with the royals on “protected property.”

The couple has received several invitations for Christmas, including ones from David Foster and Harry’s best friend Charlie van Straubenzee and his family. However, there is a bit of a “stalemate” between Harry and Meghan regarding where they should spend Christmas. Harry longs for the big family celebrations he used to be a part of.

It’s clear that Prince Harry finds himself missing the UK during the holiday season. While it may be challenging for him to be away from the traditions and celebrations he holds dear, he is fortunate to have the love and support of his family and friends in America.
