In 1983, 24-year-old Patricia Clarke experienced a mixture of anticipation and uncertainty as she prepared to welcome her second child. Having come from a family with a history of large babies, she had a feeling that her little one would be on the bigger side. Little did she know just how big he would turn out to be.

When Kevin Robert Clark made his grand entrance into the world, it became evident that he was no ordinary baby. Weighing over 16 pounds, he set a record as the largest infant ever born at Community Memorial Hospital in New Jersey. His impressive size quickly captured the attention of the nation, earning him appearances on popular shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America.”

As Kevin grew older, his height continued to soar. By the time he reached 12 years old, he already stood at a towering 5 feet and 7 inches. And it didn’t stop there. Junior high brought another significant growth spurt, propelling him to an astonishing height of 6 feet and 5 inches. Kevin’s witty response to the frequently asked question of his height reflects his lighthearted nature: “I like to joke that I’m 5-foot-21. When people ask if I play basketball, I ask them if they play miniature golf.”

Now 40 years old, Kevin, or Tom as he is now known, has embraced his unique height and is living a fulfilling life. Accompanied by his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane, he has found his place in the world. Tom, a former soldier, recently measured an impressive 6 feet 9 inches.

While growing up in the spotlight and constantly fielding questions from curious onlookers might have been challenging, Tom has proven to be resilient. As he continues on his journey, we can only hope for the best for him.
