Legendary actress Loni Anderson, best known for her role as Jennifer Marlowe on the hit CBS sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, proves that age is just a number. At 78, she looks more fantastic than ever. In the late 1970s, Loni became a superstar with her role as busty and sexy Jennifer.
The show, which followed the rise and fall of an Ohio Fantasy radio station, earned her three Grammy Awards. “I think women liked that I was hot and smart,” Loni said. “There weren’t many women in comedy in 1978.”
Loni’s road to fame started early. She was interested in acting from an early age, but she faced many challenges and scrutiny for being physically precocious compared to her peers. Being the first girl at school wasn’t easy, but Loni didn’t let that stop her. She made her acting debut in 1966 and never looked back. Determined to challenge the stereotypes of what a grandmother should be, Loni wants to change what aging looks like. “I had absolutely no interest in playing the traditional, sensuous, shoe-wearing, swinging grandmother,” Loni explained. “It’s time to change what grandma looks like because we’re different from that stereotype!”
With a positive outlook on life, Loni surrounds herself with the right people. She married her soul mate, musician Bob Flick, in 2008, and they have a wonderful family with grandchildren.
