A woman walked into a pet shop and instantly laid her eyes on a magnificent parrot. The cage had a sign that read $50.00. Curious, she asked the pet store owner why the parrot was priced so low.

The owner looked at her and replied with a knowing smile, “Well, I should warn you that this bird used to live in an… unconventional establishment, and it may occasionally utter some rather inappropriate words.”

The woman took a moment to ponder this information but ultimately decided that she still wanted the parrot. She took it home, placing its cage proudly in the living room, eagerly awaiting its first words.

The parrot glanced around the room, then fixed its gaze on her and spoke, “New house, new madam.”

The woman was taken aback by the implications of those words but quickly reassured herself, “Well, that’s not so terrible.”

Later that day, her two teenage daughters returned from school, and the parrot caught sight of them. It proclaimed, “New house, new madam, new girls.”

At first, the girls and their mother felt slightly offended, but it didn’t take long for them to find humor in the situation. They burst into laughter, realizing that the parrot’s words were a reflection of its past.

Just as they were enjoying their lighthearted moment, the woman’s husband walked through the door. The parrot turned its beady eyes towards him and declared, “New house, new madam, new girls – old clients!”

The room erupted with laughter as the husband joined in on the joke, recognizing that the parrot’s words were all in jest. It became an amusing tale that the family would share for years to come.

It just goes to show that sometimes, even unexpected circumstances can bring unexpected laughter and joy into our lives.
