Living near Atlantic Beach in Jacksonville, Florida, Dan had the idea to take some photos on the picturesque beach. They believed it would be the perfect backdrop to showcase Angelina’s baby bump. As they posed, Angelina smiled radiantly, unaware of the magical moment that was about to unfold.
With his camera in hand, Dan snapped a series of photos, hoping to capture the excitement of becoming parents. But it wasn’t until he reviewed the images that he noticed something extraordinary. Right behind Angelina, a dolphin had jumped out of the water, seemingly photobombing their maternity shoot!
Dan couldn’t contain his excitement. He knew dolphins frequented the area, but he never imagined capturing one mid-jump in the background of a picture. “When I took it, I was like, ‘Oh, my God!’” Dan shared. Unfortunately, Angelina had missed the dolphin’s adorable cameo.
The couple couldn’t help but laugh and credit their unborn son, Courtland, for the magical moment. They jokingly suggested that Courtland had summoned the dolphin from his mother’s belly. However, they won’t be changing his name to “Dolph Finn” anytime soon!
Reflecting on the experience, Dan admitted that the dolphin had actually jumped twice, but he felt that the first jump picture was the most captivating. It became a cherished memory of their maternity shoot, a moment forever frozen in time.
