Ford, at 75 years old, stopped his car when he witnessed the distressed woman in need. He was not alone in offering assistance; other bystanders also rushed to help. Together, they worked tirelessly to safely extricate the woman from her damaged vehicle. Fortunately, she only suffered minor injuries and was promptly taken to the local hospital for treatment.
The Santa Paula Police Department expressed their gratitude to Ford and the other volunteers who selflessly stepped in to aid the woman during her moment of distress. Ford’s recognizable face even resulted in someone capturing photos of him in action, embodying the heroism he often portrays on screen. As it turns out, Ford was driving right behind the woman when she veered off the road and crashed.
Senior Officer Matt Alonzo of the Santa Paula Police Department described the severity of the crash. The female driver had veered off the main highway, causing her vehicle to roll and collide with a tree. Luckily, her injuries were minor, likely due to the fact that she was wearing her seatbelt. Officer Alonzo commended Ford and his friend for going above and beyond to assist the woman before emergency services arrived.
Thankfully, the female driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle during the accident, resulting in no additional injuries. She is expected to make a full recovery. However, the California Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation to determine if there were any underlying factors that contributed to the crash.
