There are some people that we seem to freeze in time, and that is especially true of child stars. We know that they grew up with us in many different ways, but inside of our minds, they stopped growing at some point.

Ricky Schroder seems to be one of those individuals in the minds of many who grew up in the 1970s. He won a Golden Globe for his part in the movie The Champ, and then he went on to play on Silver Spoons.

After the show was over, Schroder decided to be more of a serious actor. He played on a number of different shows, including NYPD Blue and Scrubs. He even ventured into directing and received a best director award for his project called Black Cloud in the early 2000s.

Unfortunately, while his professional life was successful, his personal life had its challenges. In 1992, he was arrested and charged with assault and battery for domestic violence against his girlfriend at the time. They later got married and had four children together but divorced in 2016. After the divorce, Ricky spiraled downward and began partying excessively.

In 2019, he was arrested once again for domestic abuse, this time against his girlfriend. He had to pay $50,000 bail, but the case was eventually dismissed.

Despite staying out of the limelight for the most part, Ricky has been slightly active on social media. Recently, he posted a photo on Instagram wearing a hat and denim shirt, reminiscing about his youth and past accomplishments.

However, the response to his picture was mixed. Some people had negative comments about his appearance, stating that he looked rough. Others, though, mentioned that ruggedness suited him.

Regardless of public opinion, we hope that Ricky Schroder is doing well and wish him all the best.
