TikTok has evolved from a platform for dance videos to a space where people share intimate details about their lives. One particularly intriguing genre on TikTok is true crime, with accounts dedicated to unraveling cold cases and even victims sharing their own experiences. One woman, Bonnie Lou, who was once married to a serial killer, has taken to TikTok to share her story.

Woman who was married to serial killer reveals chilling question he once asked her

Bonnie’s ex-husband, Richard Evonitz, was a convicted serial killer who brutally murdered three teenage girls. He confessed to his crimes before tragically taking his own life. Bonnie, a writer, has been candid about her life with a killer. In a recent viral video, she revealed the bone-chilling question he once asked her.

Bonnie and Richard got married when she was just 17 years old. They divorced eight years later, after the police showed up at Bonnie’s door to inform her that her husband was a serial killer. Shockingly, at least one of his murders took place while they were still married. Viewers of Bonnie’s TikTok videos have asked if she noticed any warning signs during their marriage. In response, Bonnie shared that things began to change within the first month. Richard would criticize her weight, pressure her to stay home, discourage her from going to college, and even limit her contact with friends and family.

In a disturbing follow-up video, Bonnie recounted the chilling question Richard asked her. He had recently left the military and was exhibiting erratic behavior. One day, he came home in a frantic state and posed this unsettling question: “If I asked you to fly out of the country with me, would you do it?” Bonnie was understandably taken aback and questioned why he would ask such a thing. His response was ominous: “Just answer the question. Would you go with me if I needed to get out of the country?” Despite her reservations, Bonnie ultimately agreed, which seemed to placate Richard.

Reflecting on this chilling incident, Bonnie finds it unsettling. She describes the question as “crazy” in hindsight. Bonnie has written a book about her experiences and is currently seeking a publisher. Through her TikToks, she aims to shed light on the realities of being married to a serial killer.
