Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, recently opened up about his plans to seek a DNA test once Gypsy Rose’s baby is born. Gypsy Rose and Ryan split in April of this year, just three months after her release from prison. Meanwhile, Gypsy Rose quickly moved on with her ex-boyfriend, Ken Urker, with whom she is now expecting a baby.

According to Louisiana state law, since Gypsy Rose is still legally married to Ryan at the time of the baby’s birth, a DNA test must be conducted to determine the biological father. Ryan shared his thoughts with his followers on TikTok, expressing his feelings of being caught in this situation. He stated, “I have to get a DNA test. I don’t have a choice. I hate being in this situation.”

Ryan explained that he would need to take the DNA test for court purposes. Although he personally believes he is not the father, he acknowledges that anything is possible and the test will provide the truth. Gypsy Rose and Ryan had been married since 2022, but their marriage was mainly spent with Gypsy Rose behind bars for her involvement in her mother’s murder.

In Louisiana, if the mother is married to someone other than the biological father at the time of conception or has been divorced for less than 300 days upon the child’s birth, the husband/ex-husband is presumed to be the father. However, paternity can be established for the biological father through a DNA test.

Attorney Beau Brock emphasized that Louisiana laws regarding paternity are designed to protect the child and ensure they have a father and mother for support. It can be challenging to determine paternity in situations where there may have been overlapping relationships. That’s why a DNA test is recommended.

Despite the legal complications surrounding the baby’s paternity, Gypsy Rose and Ken recently shared the joyous news that they are expecting a girl. Ryan also defended Gypsy Rose in a TikTok live, expressing his continued love for her despite their separation.

As the situation unfolds, Ryan’s decision to seek a DNA test reflects the complexities of determining fatherhood in Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s life.
