A mother was overwhelmed with gratitude for the “kind and generous” workers at Pleasureland Amusements arcade in Whitby, Yorkshire. They went above and beyond when her son accidentally left his favorite toy behind. The heartwarming story, shared by Helen Lupton on Facebook, quickly gained attention, and she hopes that the arcade employees receive the recognition they deserve.

Helen and her son, Blake, had a fun day out at the amusement arcade, but they realized that Blake’s beloved purple sloth toy, Slothy, was left behind when they returned home. Helen messaged the venue the next day in hopes of finding the lost toy, but sadly, nothing had been turned in to the lost and found. Blake was devastated, and Helen felt awful seeing his tears.

In the meantime, Helen tried to find a replacement toy but had no luck. Then, out of the blue, she received a message from Pleasureland Amusements. They had found Slothy! Helen was surprised and delighted, and when she told Blake, he was overjoyed. Since they lived far away, Helen asked if the toy could be mailed to them, and the kind staff happily agreed.

After a few days, a package arrived. Inside were heartwarming surprises for Blake – Slothy, along with two new toys and three packets of sweets. The package came with a message that said, “Hi, we thought Pablo (as we called him before we knew he was Slothy) would get scared during his journey, so we sent him with a friend and some snacks to share with you when he got back home safe and sound. So he didn’t get bored, we put a fidget pop in with him. Hope Slothy (Pablo) stays safe in the future.”

Helen couldn’t contain her gratitude and shared the story along with photos of Slothy and the gifts on social media. She encouraged others to visit Pleasureland in Whitby and expressed her belief that there are good, honest, kind, and generous people in the world. The post quickly received hundreds of comments, with many people touched by the heartwarming gesture and expressing their admiration for the staff at the arcade.
