'Young and the Restless' Star Eric Braeden Battles Cancer at 82

German actor Eric Braeden, known for his role as Victor Newman on the long-running CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, recently shared some personal news with his fans. In a Facebook Live session, the 82-year-old actor revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing immunotherapy treatment.

Braeden’s cancer diagnosis came after experiencing prostate issues while recovering from knee-replacement surgery. After high-grade cancer cells were discovered near his bladder, the actor underwent surgery to remove them and is now following a six-week immunotherapy plan.

“I’ve learned now to listen to my body more, and not go all out,” Braeden shared. “So if you’ve seen me a little under the weather, yeah, I have been, but I will lick this. This bastard ain’t going to get me, I’m going to get it. I’ll be in top form again soon.”
