They are excited about the prospect of launching Australia’s first-ever pets in cabin flights. Hrdlicka also reassured passengers that allowing pets in the cabins would not affect the existing policy of allowing assistance animals to travel for free.
So, how will this new service work? Only small dogs and cats that can fit under the seat in front of the passenger will be allowed. They will need to be in an approved carrier during the flight, ensuring that they stay in their designated space. While the fee for this service has not been disclosed yet, it will be charged to those who qualify.

In response, Virgin Atlantic stated that they are committed to minimizing any impact on passengers who are not traveling with a pet.
