Adriana Reyes, also known as Martinez, has made a heartfelt plea for forgiveness, both for herself and her son Salvador Ramos, following the devastating mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. The tragedy began when Ramos shot his own grandmother, Celia Martinez Gonzalez, in the face during an argument about his failure to graduate from high school.

Immediately after this horrific act, Ramos stole his grandmother’s car and drove to the school in Uvalde. Without hesitation, he crashed the car and rushed inside a classroom, where he mercilessly killed 19 innocent children and two dedicated teachers.

Reyes, who is Ramos’ mother, has come forward and asked for understanding. She believes that her son “had his reasons” for carrying out such a heinous act and makes a sincere plea for people not to judge him. It has been suggested that Ramos had a strained relationship with his mother, which led to him living with his grandmother. Despite this, Reyes desperately seeks forgiveness, saying, “I only want the innocent children who died to forgive me. Forgive me, forgive my son. I know he had his reasons.”

When asked by CNN why her son specifically chose the elementary school as a target, Reyes admitted, “It was to get closer to those children. Instead of paying attention to the other bad things, I have no words. I don’t know.” Speaking in Spanish, she expressed her inability to comprehend her son’s actions and claimed she had no words to describe what he must have been thinking.

In a separate interview with DailyMail, Reyes dismissed claims that she was a drug addict and that her son had distanced himself from her, instead stating, “My son wasn’t a violent person. I’m shocked by what he did. I pray for those families. I’m praying for all of those innocent children; yes, I am. They had no part in this tragedy.”

Reyes further negated reports suggesting a toxic relationship between her and her son that might have influenced his behavior, saying, “I had a good relationship with him. He kept to himself, he didn’t have many friends.”

Reyes revealed that the last time she spoke with Ramos was on his birthday, just one day before the horrific events unfolded. She had prepared a card and a Snoopy stuffed animal to give to him. Unfortunately, Celia, Ramos’ grandmother, survived the gunshot to her forehead. Reyes clarified that she didn’t know exactly where her son had shot her mother but assured everyone that she and her sister would take care of her once she returns home to Uvalde.

On a disturbing note, it has since been discovered that Ramos had sent private messages on Facebook to a 15-year-old he met online. In these messages, he revealed his intention to shoot his grandmother and then go on a shooting spree at Robb Elementary School. The heartbreaking tragedy could have potentially been prevented if these alarming messages had been intercepted in time.

The aftermath of this unimaginable act continues to leave everyone heartbroken and searching for answers. In the midst of this tragedy, the plea for forgiveness from Adriana Reyes, the mother of the shooter, serves as a reminder of the profound pain and sorrow experienced by all those affected by this senseless act of violence.
