The driver of the Honda, Ryan Koss, escaped with minor injuries and did not require further medical attention. Authorities have determined that neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash. It is also possible that Koss and Williams were acquainted through work, as Williams had previously performed at the theater where Koss worked.
Tragically, this particular stretch of road has seen multiple accidents over the years, resulting in injuries in three instances. Williams’ death marks the first fatality reported on this road. Despite wearing a helmet, the actor suffered critical injuries that proved to be fatal. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in New York, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
