From highlighting important people and places to tantalizing our taste buds with delicious foods and taking us on unforgettable adventures, Joe’s contributions have been immeasurable.

A Multitalented Individual

Joe’s passion for television extended beyond Tennessee Crossroads. You might also recognize him from his appearances on other notable shows. For car enthusiasts, he was a familiar face on NBC Sports’ “Detroit Muscle,” a captivating weekly program that explored the world of American muscle cars. And from 1997 to 2013, he hosted Spike TV’s “Horsepower,” captivating audiences nationwide.

From Arkansas to Tennessee

Born in Arkansas, Joe began his journey in journalism and broadcasting at the University of Memphis. He honed his skills and made valuable connections while working as an assistant professor and director of media relations. In 1985, he made the move to Nashville, where he quickly fell in love with the city and its vibrant music scene. Some may even remember him as part of the Bill Black Combo, playing alongside the legendary Bill Black, famously known as Elvis Presley’s bassist.
