It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tim Gough, a much-loved British radio talk show host. In a tragic turn of events, Tim suffered a sudden heart attack while live on the air, during his show “Tim Gough at Breakfast” on GenX Radio. He was 55 years old.

Tim was delivering his daily segment when he tragically keeled over and passed away. Thankfully, he was broadcasting from his home in Suffolk, UK, where he was born. The news of his unexpected death has left his loyal audience and colleagues in shock and devastation.

GenX Radio expressed their deep sorrow, stating that they are “shocked and devastated beyond words” by the loss of Tim. They praised him as a highly talented broadcaster who had an army of fans for his daily show. James Hazell, GenX Radio’s Managing Director, who had worked closely with Tim throughout his career, shared his pain and grief over the sudden death of his friend.

Tim had been on the radio since the 80s and had come out of retirement to be a part of GenX Radio. He was extremely excited about their upcoming DAB launch at the end of the month. Hazell fondly remembered Tim as a warm, caring, and fun person and expressed his family’s heartbreak over the loss.
