Nottingham Police made a shocking discovery this week, uncovering the bodies of a mother and her daughter inside their home on Hartley Road in Radford. The women are believed to have been deceased for a considerable amount of time, indicating that their tragic fate went unnoticed by the community.

The distressing finding was made on Tuesday, 21 May, when concerned neighbors alerted the emergency services about their welfare. Upon entering the property, officers were confronted with a heartbreaking scene, discovering the bodies of the two women.

“It is believed they had lain undiscovered for some time,” said Nottingham Police in a statement following the grim discovery.

According to local reports, the mother, who was in her 40s, and her teenage daughter were living in the house. The shocking news has deeply affected the community, with one shop worker describing it as surprising and shocking.

Authorities in white suits were observed removing the bodies from the residence on Tuesday evening, as the house was cordoned off with red hazard tape. One neighbor, Deborah Williams, mentioned that she last saw the mother and daughter in February. Although their extended absences weren’t initially concerning, Williams stated that she noticed their windows were open in a video she took to report fly tipping to the council.

Detective Chief Inspector Ruby Burrow assured the public that there is no immediate danger to the community, but an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. She expressed her condolences to the deceased women, their family, and friends.

This tragic incident serves as a reminder for everyone to stay connected and check on the well-being of our loved ones and neighbors.
