A heartwarming story emerged recently about a brave schoolgirl who was able to turn the tables on her bullies with the help of an incredible escort of nearly 300 bikers to her high school prom. Felicity Warburton, 15, has endured years of torment that left her feeling “worthless,” but on the night of her prom, she was in for a pleasant surprise.
Felicity’s mom, Kathryn Warburton, took to Facebook before the event, reaching out to the WAC Motorcycle Club and asking if they could support her daughter by attending the prom at Worcester Warriors Stadium. Felicity saw the prom as an opportunity to show her bullies that they could no longer hurt her. She had even contemplated suicide in the past due to the relentless bullying she faced.
Little did Felicity know, her mom’s Facebook appeal had an overwhelming response. On the night of her prom, a massive procession of bikers arrived, revving their engines and receiving applause from Felicity’s classmates and teachers. What started as a hope for ten bikers turned into an unforgettable moment for Felicity.
Her dad, Rich Morris, expressed his amazement, saying, “They kept coming batch by batch until there were so many bikers you couldn’t even see Felicity in the middle of them all.” The incredible support from the bikers, as well as an escort from a group of ex-police officers and prison guards, left Felicity and her family blown away.
Felicity absolutely loved every minute of the experience and seeing her surrounded by such overwhelming support was a sight to behold. Rich goes on to say, “To see that smile break out on her face was very overwhelming. The confidence it brought out in Felicity was amazing. Over the last year, she’s had constant bullying, and while the school has done what they can, they can’t do everything.”
This heartwarming story showcases the power of community and the resilience of individuals. It serves as a powerful reminder that no one should have to endure such cruelty, and with the support of others, healing is possible. We hope that Felicity’s story inspires others and sheds light on the importance of fighting against bullying in all its forms.
