Electrician Spends The Day At The Zoo Playing With The Meerkats

When it comes to adorable animals, I think that most of us really can’t get enough of them. It just seems as if they capture our attention and keep us smiling.

Although we might think about kittens or puppies being included in that mix, we also need to consider some of the wild animals in the world as well. Meerkats are a perfect example, although most of us would never have an opportunity to see them if we were at the zoo.

That was what happened when one man recently was hired to do some electrical work at one of the zoos in his area. It was at the meerkat enclosure, so the little animals kept him company while he was working.

Curious Meerkats Lend a Helping Paw

One of the first things Lucy’s dad noticed was the fact that the meerkats were very curious. As an electrician in one of the zoos off the coast of England, he typically works on the rides and electrical issues but sometimes, he gets to work in the animal enclosures.

When some of the meerkats came over to check out what he was doing, he couldn’t help but take a picture or two and share them with his daughter. The meerkats were all too happy to lend a hand while he was working on their home.

Exploring the World of Tools

You can see them checking out the tool bag that he had left open, with one of the meerkats even jumping inside. They also found the screwdriver and portable light to be very interesting.

Lucy spoke about how meerkats are naturally curious so they would just go up and explore what he was doing. There was even one picture of a meerkat sitting on his shoulder. It had climbed up on his back when he bent over to pick something up. She resisted sharing that picture for his sake.
