Pythons, known as one of the largest and deadliest snakes in the world, have struck fear into the hearts of many. In Pathum Thani, Thailand, a farmer named Nut Wattana found himself facing a devastating situation when two of his beloved fighting roosters mysteriously disappeared. As someone who relied on the earnings from these roosters’ matches, Wattana felt a mix of anger and worry. How would he pay his bills without them?
Initially, he thought the roosters had managed to escape their coop. But when he noticed a giant 15-foot python hanging from the roof with a suspiciously bulging belly, he knew he had found the culprit. The snake had devoured his prized fighters whole! Wattana couldn’t help but feel devastated.
Determined to save his remaining rooster, Wattana sought out help from rescuers in the area. Together, they came up with a plan to force the python to regurgitate its ill-gotten meal. Wattana managed to capture the entire shocking ordeal on video, which shows the snake pushing the rooster out of its mouth, feet first. It’s a sight that’ll leave you feeling utterly disgusted.
In order to make the snake release the rooster, rescuers used a metal rod to forcefully provoke a gag reflex. As the snake’s mouth opened, its deadly fangs were revealed. A rooster would have stood no chance against this massive predator. However, pythons rely on the strength of their bodies rather than their teeth to subdue their prey. They trap their victims with their fangs and then use their powerful coils to squeeze the life out of them.
Slowly but surely, the snake starts to push the rooster out of its belly, with the fowl’s feet eventually protruding from its mouth. The snake’s body convulses as this process takes place, lasting only a few minutes until the bird plops out onto the ground, covered in slime.
Sadly, this was not the first time Wattana had faced such a devastating loss. On December 27, another two of his chickens went missing, and it was clear the python had been terrorizing his livestock. Despite the financial setback of losing approximately $1000 worth of fighting roosters, Wattana holds no grudge against the snake. He understands that it was just following its natural instinct to survive. Nevertheless, he plans to invest in better fencing and other protective measures to prevent future incidents.
This disturbing footage serves as a reminder of the unpredictable and sometimes brutal nature of the animal kingdom. As we continue to coexist with wildlife, it’s essential to strike a delicate balance between preserving their habitats and protecting our own livelihoods.
