There are stories that inspire us, of individuals who overcome challenging beginnings and achieve remarkable things in life. This is the story of a beloved celebrity who was given up for adoption as a baby.

Her biological parents decided to give her up for adoption due to their focus on their careers. They fabricated her background, but the truth eventually came to light.

A New Beginning with Adoptive Parents

On May 8, 1964, she was born in Los Angeles, and within 24 hours she found her loving adoptive parents, Barbara Crane and Paul Gilbert. They also welcomed her younger brother, Jonathan, into their family.

Unfortunately, her adoptive parents’ marriage did not stand the test of time, and they separated when she was just six years old. Despite this, she held cherished memories of her father, describing him as an incredibly talented, vivacious, funny, loving, and fair person.

Tragically, in 1976, her father passed away. Initially believed to be due to a stroke, it was later revealed that he had taken his own life because of the constant pain he endured from injuries sustained in World War II.
