The U.S. Postal Service is commemorating the beloved late “Jeopardy!” host, Alex Trebek, with a special tribute – a new forever stamp. This heartfelt dedication to the pop culture icon was celebrated at a ceremony on Monday, honoring his lasting impact.

The new set of stamps, available in a pack of 20, features a design that resembles the iconic “Jeopardy!” game board, complete with its captivating blue video screens. Each stamp presents a clue that prompts collectors and letter-senders with the question, “This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’ for 37 seasons.” The answer, “Who is Alex Trebek?” can be found beneath the clue, written in charming upside-down print.

Ken Jennings, the current host of “Jeopardy!” expressed his enthusiasm about the tribute stamp. He stated, “Alex Trebek was an American institution, and it makes perfect sense to honor him on a postage stamp. When I saw that the full sheet of stamps looks like a ‘JEOPARDY!’ game board, I couldn’t help but geek out!”

The Trebek family, deeply moved by this unexpected tribute, expressed their gratitude. In a statement, Jean Trebek, Alex’s wife, said, “My family and I were completely surprised about Alex being honored by the U.S. Postal Service. It is such an extraordinary honor and a wonderful way to recognize what Alex meant to so many people. Alex would be over the moon about this distinctive honor, and he would feel very humbled. I find the stamp design to be incredibly creative because Alex Trebek truly is the answer to all the clues.”

Alex Trebek, who hosted “Jeopardy!” from its debut in 1984 until his passing in 2020, was a cherished figure in American television. His remarkable legacy continues to inspire and entertain audiences around the world. This tribute stamp serves as a touching reminder of his immense contributions and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
