It seems like there’s always some drama in the world of music. This time, it involves Kanye West and Taylor Swift fans. A Taylor Swift fan recently called for all “Swifties” to help push Beyonce’s new track “Texas Hold ‘Em” so that it’ll knock Kanye West’s “Vultures” out of the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts. But West is pleading with them to stop.

The original message from the Swiftie reads, “SWIFTIE EMERGENCY, Beyonce’s new single ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ is challenging Kanye West for the No. 1 debut on Billboard Hot 100. Let’s buy and stream ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ to block him from the top spot.” The Swiftie also reminded fellow Swifties that Kanye West had dragged Taylor Swift in one of his latest Instagram Story posts. But West caught wind of the tweet and slammed the whole plan.

In a passionate response, West urged Swifties to not sabotage his new album’s chart success. He even attached a screenshot of the Swiftie emergency post. “When I said that I’m the new Jesus b—, I wasn’t even thinking about Taylor Swift,” West declared. “That was a whole line before, but I appreciate the free promo.”

West then went on to explain that his album, “Vultures,” is actually super positive and full of fun. It’s all about triumph, according to him. He also shared how challenging the past year has been for him, his wife Bianca Censori, family, and friends. “I’ve faced bans from hotels, been kicked out of companies, and even denied access to some restaurants. And that’s not all, everyone saw ‘Vultures’ get taken off platforms to limit our first week numbers.”

Kanye West Stands with Taylor Swift Against Scooter Braun

To prove that he was supportive of Taylor Swift, Kanye West revealed that he was on Taylor Swift’s side when producer Scooter Braun bought her masters behind her back. West sees both Swift and Beyonce as big inspirations to all musicians. “We always say how both sell out tours and movies,” he stated.

West also wanted to make it clear that he has been more helpful to Taylor Swift’s career than harmful. “To all the Taylor Swift fans, I’m not your enemy,” he noted. “Uuum, I’m not your friend either though.”

Addressing the rumors about being kicked out of Super Bowl LVIII at the request of Taylor Swift, West denied it all. “I didn’t get kicked out of the Super Bowl,” he declared. “We left our seats to go to YG’s box and see different friends.” West mentioned that his wife Bianca Censori had never been to a Super Bowl before and they wanted to have a nice time exploring. He also mentioned Shaq, who, alongside Jamie Salter, gifted Taylor Swift a special football-themed bag. “I grew up looking up to you,” West proclaimed to Shaq. “I would love to hang out with you and Jamie sometime. Jamie Salter is like a father figure to me.”

It’s clear that Kanye West wants to set the record straight and let Taylor Swift fans know that he’s not the enemy. Whatever happens on the charts, let’s hope that peace can be found in the world of music.
