In a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Kelly Osbourne opened up about a major decision she and her partner, Sid Wilson, have made regarding the name of their son, Sidney Wilson.

Kelly, who is 39 years old, shared that she wanted their child to have both their last names. However, Sid was initially opposed to the idea, believing it went against tradition. This disagreement caused a significant fight between them.

“I wanted our son to have both of our last names, and (Sid) wouldn’t let me,” Kelly revealed. “We had a huge fight. I felt forced into doing something I didn’t want to do, and I can never forgive him for that, but we can move on.”

After some eye-opening conversations and couples therapy, Sid has had a change of heart. As a result, they have decided to legally change their son’s name to include both of their last names.

“We both made our child, so he should have both of our last names,” Kelly emphasized.

During the podcast, Kelly’s mother, Sharon Osbourne, mentioned that naming children after their parents is considered a “very dated” trend. However, Kelly defended her decision, stating that Sid had falsely claimed that his grandfather had the same name.

Despite the initial disagreement, Kelly has grown fond of her son’s name. She believes that he should carry the legacy of both their last names.

This announcement by Kelly Osbourne highlights the importance of compromise and communication in relationships. It also challenges traditional naming conventions and encourages a more inclusive approach.
