Goran Marinkovic, a compassionate animal lover from Serbia, stumbled upon a stray puppy seeking shelter in an old shoe. Instantly captivated by the tiny creature, Goran decided to provide him with a new life fit for royalty. The puppy, now named Smesten, went from being abandoned and alone to living a life of luxury.

Goran, known for his dedication to feeding stray animals, painstakingly nursed Smesten back to health. The furry companion soon became a cherished member of Goran’s family. Despite the puppy’s initial weakness and difficulty walking, Goran’s love and care worked wonders.

“I accidentally turned around and saw this little dog,” Goran recounted to The Dodo. “His sibling was lying lifeless nearby. He was running out of strength. With dog food in hand, I offered him a meal, which he eagerly devoured. Words cannot describe how small and hungry he was. He was thrown out like trash, abandoned by heartless individuals.”

After a visit to the vet, it became evident that Smesten needed extensive care and attention. Goran ensured that the puppy received proper nourishment until a loving home could be found.

A Forever Home for Smesten

After a few months, a compassionate woman came forward to offer Smesten a forever home. Since then, the energetic pup has been thriving and thoroughly enjoying his newfound life. He loves playing outside and radiates happiness. However, Smesten will never forget the man who changed his life for the better.

“She desperately wanted Smesten and adopted him, and he now lives like a king,” Goran happily shared. He has taken in many animals throughout his life and is supported by his caring neighbors in his mission to provide a safe haven for those in need.
