Martha Stewart, the renowned lifestyle expert, has made history by becoming the oldest person to grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue at 81 years old. Alongside three other cover models, Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader, Stewart’s debut in the 2023 issue is a remarkable feat.

Reflecting on her cover appearance, Stewart shared her initial thoughts, saying, “When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I think ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated.” She acknowledged the significance of her age in this achievement, calling it “kind of historic.”

For the photoshoot, Stewart traveled to the picturesque Dominican Republic. Opening up about the experience, she described it as a “challenge” that she believed she successfully met. She showcased her versatility by wearing 10 different looks throughout the shoot. Ultimately, the publication selected a stunning photo of Stewart in a white bathing suit with a plunging neckline, draped in an elegant orange shawl, for the cover.

Stewart’s remarkable journey is a testament to the fact that age is just a number. Despite her age, she firmly believes that age should never hinder one’s daily activities. According to her, “Age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or in terms of success, but what people do, how people think, how people act, that’s what’s important and not your age.”

In a recent interview with InStyle, Stewart proudly embraced her status as a “bona fide sex symbol” despite her age. She sees herself as a teacher, inspiring others to look and feel their best. As she puts it, “There’s no reason to slump around.”

Martha Stewart’s remarkable journey serves as an example for all of us. She looks fantastic, and her perspective on getting older is truly inspiring. Age should never hold us back from pursuing our dreams and embracing life to the fullest.
