Martha Stewart, the 81-year-old lifestyle maven, has made history by gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue. This year’s issue features three additional covers with Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader. Despite her age, Stewart is the oldest competitor to ever be featured.

“When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I think ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated,” Stewart shared. “And although I don’t think much about my age, I felt this was historic.”

For the photoshoot, Stewart traveled to the Dominican Republic. She described it as a challenging experience during an interview with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb but expressed confidence in rising to the challenge.

While becoming the oldest person on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is a remarkable feat, Stewart believes age should not define a person’s daily activities. She firmly believes that what truly matters is how people think, behave, and what they do, regardless of their age.

In her cover photo, Stewart wore ten different outfits. However, the magazine chose the image of her in a white bathing suit with an orange scarf wrapped around her shoulders.

In a recent interview with InStyle, Stewart discussed how she is perceived as a symbol of the fairer sex despite her age. “I’m an educator. I want to demonstrate to others that you can look fantastic,” she emphasized. Stewart also conveyed her belief that sharing thirst traps on social media is pointless.

Martha Stewart’s cover appearance is truly fantastic, and her perspective on aging serves as an inspiration for all of us. Her approach to embracing age should be an example for everyone.
