Can you imagine encountering a gigantic 12-foot python in your toilet? That’s exactly what happened to a family in Thailand recently. The incident unfolded in Samut Prakan on March 17, leaving the household in shock. Suwi Paramas, a housewife, was going about her routine, washing her hands in the bathroom, when the massive snake made a surprise appearance.

Emergency services removing the python

The sight of the enormous python startled Suwi, who immediately called for emergency services. A wildlife crew was dispatched to the scene to handle the situation. However, capturing the snake proved to be quite the challenge. They had to go to great lengths, even dismantling the plumbing, to safely remove the snake from the toilet.

“I was so scared. I couldn’t even watch why they were catching the snake. It could have killed me,” expressed Suwi, reflecting on the terrifying encounter.

Fortunately, the operation concluded without any harm to anyone involved. The snake was rescued and is set to be returned to its natural habitat. Incidents like these are not uncommon in Thailand, where snakes seek refuge in cool and damp areas during the hot seasons.

Thailand has witnessed similar incidents in the past. In 2021, a man was bitten by an 8-foot python in a restroom. Similarly, in 2016, another incident occurred when a python managed to bite a man in the genitals.

It goes to show that we must always be cautious and aware of unexpected encounters, even in our own homes. So, the next time you use the bathroom, make sure to double-check for any uninvited reptilian guests.
