After a football game, her 16-year-old son, Brixton, shared a hug with her. But it wasn’t just any hug, Amber wrapped her entire body around him as he held her. Amber found herself having to defend the hug against all the negativity. People questioned the nature of her relationship with her son, some even crossing boundaries with inappropriate comments. She said, “If you perceive something immoral, sexual, or wrong with it, then that’s on you.” She also called out the disgraceful, crude, and disrespectful comments that were made. Despite the backlash, Amber firmly stood her ground and kept the video up.
Brixton also spoke out on Instagram, defending his mom. He stated, “She’s my mom, she is my hero. The video of us hugging was simply a hug. Go bother someone else and maybe hug your own kids.”
Amber also spoke to TODAY and explained that Brixton was wearing his late father’s football jersey for the first time on the field. As a proud mother, she simply wanted to embrace her son in that special moment. However, she was taken aback by the accusations of grooming or sexual abuse, as well as the threats of contacting child protective services.

Amber chose to focus on the love between her and her son, and she stood up against those who tried to tarnish that innocent connection.
