An incredible act of kindness at an Australian supermarket has touched the hearts of many, particularly one shopper who was moved to tears by what she witnessed.

Lyn, a customer at Coles, was waiting in line at the checkout when she saw an elderly woman struggling to pay with her card. The card was declined, and the elderly woman was becoming increasingly confused. That’s when a young cashier named Michael stepped in.

Instead of calling for help or checking the machine, Michael took out his phone and paid the £39 ($73) bill for the shopper. He didn’t expect any acknowledgment or thanks for his kind gesture – he simply wanted to help.

“I wanted to cry at witnessing the absolute care and generosity of a fabulous young man called Michael,” Lyn shared on Coles’ official Facebook page. She also made sure to let the store’s supervisor know about the incident.

Lyn’s post on Facebook received an outpouring of support, with many people commending Michael for his selflessness. One person commented, “What a beautiful young man. His parents should be so proud.” Another Coles worker even chimed in, saying, “He is a lovely young man and an asset to our store.”

Acts of kindness like this remind us of the goodness that exists in the world, and they can truly warm our hearts. Have you ever witnessed a heartwarming random act of kindness? Let us know in the comments.
