Jo Ann’s brother-in-law suggested a radical idea – why not turn an airplane into a home? Intrigued by the concept, she visited a disassembled Boeing 727 and fell in love. And the best part? The plane only cost $2,000! Jo Ann named her new acquisition “Little Trump” to honor Donald Trump, who also owned a private Boeing 727.
A Labor of Love
With determination and creativity, Jo Ann began the daunting task of transforming the plane into a comfortable and unique home. Despite the challenges ahead, she embarked on this project with a budget of less than $30,000.
To ensure stability during the renovation, Jo Ann strategically positioned the plane on her property, facing a picturesque lake. The interior, spanning 1,500 square feet and boasting 76 windows, was dismantled and redesigned to bring her vision to life.

Once the major renovations were completed, Jo Ann focused on creating a remarkable and cozy living space. The updated plane now featured three bedrooms, a comfortable living room, a fully functional kitchen, and even a convenient laundry room.

The master bathroom, converted from the cockpit, was the shining achievement of her design. With a soaking tub that offered breathtaking views, it created a sensation of floating on water.
