Talent is not something that can be learned, it’s something you’re born with! And 18-month-old Hunter is proof of that. In a viral video that was first uploaded to YouTube in 2007, young Hunter showcases his impressive dance moves as he grooves to one of Beyonce’s hit songs.
Hunter’s mom is a dance instructor, so he was exposed to dance from a very young age. He would often accompany his mother to the dance studio and watch her teach students of all ages. This early exposure to dance had a profound impact on Hunter, and he started dancing naturally at a very young age.
In the video below, Hunter is only 18 months old, yet he displays a natural talent for dance that people much older than him sometimes struggle to achieve.
The video, titled “A Star Is Born,” was shared by Hunter’s mom on YouTube. In the description of the video, she explains, “Being a dance teacher, your baby hears the music for each recital several times. It was so cute how Hunter, at only 18 months, would stay super still during the slow part of the song and start ‘dancing’ when the music picked up.”
Knowing that her son had a knack for dancing, Hunter’s mom decided to capture his moves on camera. She recalls, “At our small studio recital, we put him on stage and played the music to see what he would do, and he didn’t disappoint!”
The song chosen for Hunter’s performance was the high-energy “Get Me Bodied (Extended Mix)” by Beyonce. With such an infectious beat, it’s no wonder that Hunter couldn’t resist dancing along. And his enthusiastic performance certainly didn’t disappoint his audience.
Since the video went viral and garnered over 33 million views, Hunter has grown up. His mother has provided an update in the video’s description, stating, “He is now almost ten, so he has grown up quite a bit, so we are glad we shared this memory on YouTube for our friends and family to see.”
Even though this video is more than a decade old, it continues to bring joy to people today, just as it did when it first appeared online in 2007. This proves that some things, like the adorable dancing of a talented toddler, are truly timeless.
