An unspeakable tragedy has struck the Mansoor family, as their precious six-week-old baby boy, Ezra, lost his life after being attacked by their family dog while he lay peacefully in his crib.
Despite receiving six days of extensive care at the hospital, Ezra sadly succumbed to brain swelling and internal bleeding on Thursday afternoon. Mark and Chloe Mansoor, from Knoxville, Tennessee, were overjoyed to welcome their first child into the world on April 14 and were eagerly embracing their new roles as parents.
An Unforeseen Attack
The Mansoors are in shock. Their beloved husky, who had been a cherished member of their family for eight years, had never displayed any signs of aggression before. The couple shared photos of Mark smiling happily while holding their faithful pet, whom he lovingly referred to as “the light of my heart.” The dog had been Mark’s loyal companion since his teenage years and had never posed a threat to anyone.
The couple also had another dog, and on occasion, a relative had suggested that they spend time with both dogs together. Mark and Chloe had tied the knot in 2022 and celebrated the impending arrival of their little one with a grand baby shower, adorning their home with gifts and decorations proclaiming “baby.”
