Nancy Jones, the widow of the late George Jones, is reaching out to the public for prayers and support in light of a recent lawnmower accident involving her daughter, Adina.
Seeking comfort and strength during this challenging time, Nancy took to George’s official Facebook page to provide an update on Adina’s condition and treatment, including the surgery she underwent.
“On September 28, Adina had surgery to clean and debride her wound. Unfortunately, she lost her heel bone and pad completely. Tomorrow, we will meet with the surgeon to discuss Adina’s options in more detail.”

Adina’s Future Options

Nancy highlighted two potential options that Adina is currently considering.
“Firstly, Adina may undergo multiple surgeries to reconstruct her heel using tissue from other parts of her body. However, due to the severity of the damage and missing parts, it may never fully function. Alternatively, Adina can explore the possibility of amputation and learn to walk with prosthetic legs.”

A Heartfelt Plea

Nancy concluded her message with a heartfelt plea.
“Please keep my sweet daughter in your prayers. We urgently need all the support we can get.”

The response from the community has been overwhelming, with over 2,000 people sending messages of congratulations and support.

The Love Story of George and Nancy Jones

In 1983, George Jones married Nancy Sepulvado, a union that forever changed his life and career. Nancy’s influence on George was immeasurable. In his autobiography, “I Lived to Tell All,” George expressed his gratitude for Nancy’s love and the impact it had on him:
“There was no teenage girl who loved Nancy Sepulvado more than I did. When we first met on a blind date in November 1981, little did I know that she would one day be the person to save my life. Love has the power to change the world, and it certainly changed me. Despite the efforts of my friends, family, doctors, therapists, and pastors, it was Nancy Jones’ love that ultimately brought about transformation.”

George and Nancy were married for 30 years until his passing in 2013 at the age of 81. Nancy fondly recalls their last moments together in an interview with The Tennessean.
“He said, ‘Hi.’ He said, ‘I’m looking for you.’ He said, ‘My name is George Jones.’” And then, he closed his eyes, and it was all over.
