As networks make decisions about their programming, Us Weekly will continue to track what has been renewed and which TV shows have been canceled. Let’s take a closer look at some of the recent developments.

Which TV Shows Are Renewed Which Are Canceled in 2024 2025

Slow Horses – A Spy Thriller with a Renewal

Slow Horses was the first show to score a renewal in 2024. This thrilling series premiered in 2022 and follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who have been assigned to paper-pushing tasks at the Slough House.

Starring the talented actors Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, and Christopher Chung, Slow Horses has captured the attention of audiences. The series has been picked up for a fifth season by Apple TV+, based on Mick Herron’s spy novel London Rules.

Minx – A Disappointing Cancellation

Unfortunately, not all shows fared as well. Minx, a show that had its fair share of ups and downs, was canceled for a second time. In May 2022, Max renewed Minx for a second season, but the decision was reversed by the end of the year.

Starz then picked up the show, with its second season premiering in July 2023. However, the network decided not to order a third season, leading to the cancellation of Minx. Actor Jake Johnson, who starred in the show, expressed his disappointment and didn’t anticipate a renewal.

Reflecting on the series’ fate, Johnson said, “I think the move to Starz was brutal for [the show]. Then, I think the strike coming out right as we were trying to promote it… My guess is you can’t beat something up that many times and keep going.”
